The intuitive eating group group program will provide you with the knowledge, tools, support, skills, and resources you need to create a healthy relationship with food and your body. By participating in this program you will learn how to honor your health and well-being while developing a more peaceful relationship with food.

How the Group is Structured

This is a 12-week small group program designed to powerfully shift your behaviors and mindset surrounding food, movement, and body acceptance. In the first class we will complete group member introductions, and dive into an overview of intuitive eating, including reviewing the research that supports this self care eating framework. The following ten classes will be devoted to diving deep into each intuitive eating principle, which can be found here. The final class will be a wrap-up class where we celebrate successes, help each other navigate challenges, and support one another as we conclude our time together.

Day and Time: Group meets weekly for 12-weeks on Wednesdays from 6:30pm EST - 8:00pm EST

  • Each class is $30.00 which is a total of $360.00 for the 3-month program

  • Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach that will help you heal your relationship with food and your body. This involves guiding you in listening to your body and honoring your body’s individual needs including hunger, fullness, satisfaction, and pleasure. You will gain nutrition knowledge and insight that allows you to achieve food freedom (think: not feeling anxious or obsessive around food!), stop the yo-yo dieting, trust yourself around all foods, and feel confident in your food choices.

  • This intuitive eating group program is for you if you’re ready to ditch diets once and for all, learn how to trust your body to know what, when, and how much to eat, and find peace of mind around food and in your body.

    This program is not for someone looking for weight loss tips or a “quick fix”.

    If you have been diagnosed with an active eating disorder this program is recommended after you have received formal eating disorder treatment. It is important to know that this is not a program that can treat eating disorders.

  • Definitely! Even though this is not a weight loss group, many of the clients I work with individually and who join group desire weight loss.

    In this group we will explore together the “why” behind weight loss (why so many individuals want to lose weight) to better understand the motivations underneath the desire for weight loss. What is important to keep in mind is that we cannot truly obtain the benefits from intuitive eating if we are still pursuing intentional weight loss. In other words, you can’t pursue intentional weight loss and heal your relationship with food a the same time. Both practices inherently contradict one another. Participating in this group will empower you to engage in health supportive behaviors that may or may not result in weight changes. As I always say to my clients, “we cannot predict what will happen to your weight. Your weight may or may not change as a result of practicing intuitive eating. It is not the focus of this program.”

    In summary, before considering joining group it is important to understand that the focus of this group will be on engaging in behaviors that can positively impact health and well-being, not weight loss.
